Eliminate costly mistakes.
This sample illustrates how 3D laser scanning can save time and money. An engineering company was subcontracted to do the pulsation study and sent field technicians to gather field data and measurements. This was done with a standard tape measure and manual techniques. The original proposal was a 38” OD bottle and as we inserted the 3D model with the 3D laser scan, the bottle interfered with existing steel supporting the grating. Also, there was no room to support the bottles with wedge supports. The engineering company was notified and they where shocked and did not believe there where any problems with their field data. They were shown the model with the laser scan and they were grateful that we caught this before fabrication and field installation. The bottles were revised in time and we saved our client time and money.
